P/E Ratio

Share price divided by earnings per share -- how much you pay for ₹1 of profit.

P/B Ratio

Share price compared to the company's book (net asset) value per share.

Try it: "stocks trading below 2 times book value"

P/S Ratio

Market cap divided by revenue -- useful for companies not yet profitable.

Try it: "stocks with P/S below 3"

EV/EBITDA

Enterprise value against core operating profit -- ignores differences in debt levels.

Try it: "stocks with EV/EBITDA below 10"

Dividend Yield

Annual dividend as a percentage of the current share price.

Try it: "high dividend yield stocks above 3%"

Market Capitalization

Total value of a company (share price × total shares) -- Large-cap, Mid-cap, or Small-cap.

Try it: "large cap stocks with steady growth"

ROE (Return on Equity)

How efficiently a company turns shareholder money into profit.

Try it: "stocks with ROE above 20%"

ROCE (Return on Capital Employed)

Profit generated per rupee of total capital used in the business, including debt.

Try it: "high ROCE compounders"

Net Margin

Net profit as a percentage of revenue -- how much of every rupee of sales becomes profit.

Try it: "stocks with net margin above 15%"

Debt-to-Equity Ratio

Total borrowings compared to shareholder equity -- lower means less financial risk.

Try it: "debt free companies with high ROE"

Revenue Growth

Year-over-year percentage increase in a company's sales.

Try it: "stocks with revenue growth above 25%"

EPS Growth

Year-over-year growth in earnings per share.

Try it: "high growth stocks with EPS growth above 25%"

CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate)

Smoothed average annual growth rate of revenue or profit over several years.

Try it: "stocks with 5 year profit CAGR above 15%"

52-Week High / Low

The highest and lowest price a stock has touched in the past year.

Try it: "stocks near their 52 week high"

1-Month / 1-Year Return

Percentage price change over the last month or year.

Try it: "stocks up more than 10% in the last month"

Drawdown

How far a stock has fallen from its recent peak.

Try it: "stocks down 30% from their high but still profitable"

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

Momentum measure from 0-100; above 70 usually means overbought, below 30 oversold.

Try it: "stocks with RSI between 50 and 70"

MACD

A trend-following indicator comparing two moving averages to spot momentum shifts.

Try it: "stocks with positive MACD"

Moving Averages (SMA)

Average price over a period, used to smooth out short-term noise and show trend.

Try it: "stocks trading above their 200 day average"

Bollinger Bands

Volatility bands around price; a squeeze often signals a big move coming.

Try it: "stocks near their lower Bollinger Band"

ATR (Average True Range)

A stock's typical daily price movement, used to gauge volatility.

Try it: "low ATR defensive stocks"

OBV (On-Balance Volume)

Cumulative volume flow -- rising OBV alongside price supports a genuine trend.

Try it: "momentum stocks with rising volume"

Beta

A stock's volatility relative to the overall market -- above 1 means more volatile.

Try it: "low volatility stocks with beta below 1"

Alpha

Excess return a stock has generated above what the market alone would explain.

Try it: "stocks with strong positive alpha"

Promoter Holding

Percentage of the company owned by its founders/promoters -- higher can signal confidence.

Try it: "stocks with high promoter holding"

FII Holding

Percentage owned by Foreign Institutional Investors -- rising FII interest is often watched closely.

Try it: "stocks with strong FII buying interest"
